AI Hackathon in KL

Recently finished 2-week AI hackathon organized by GECO in Kuala Lumpur.

Feeling proud of the work achieved, learned to work under lots of pressure though enjoyed it for the incredible productivity I experienced. Worked day and night in the office at Exchange 106, turns out Kuala Lumpur has some great places for coworking.

Cannot disclose everything, but we cooperated in a small team of 3 where I was Technical Lead and Solution Architect. Had to work with third party services, Flutter and few AWS services to make product come to live.

The result: AIgis (name does not have much meaning behind, just a short and catchy name) – Multilingual chatbot able to speak in Malay and English to the customers based on the knowledge base and CRM data. The most incredible part is that it can handle Tier-1 queries from customers at the price less then 1 RM (about $0.24 as of 15.12.2025), which is incredibly cheap for the cost of serving the customer. Moreover, it can interact with customer data without human intervention, which another big plus.

Overall, I think it was a good experience, definitely an interesting one. Got feedback on this product from some of the biggest Malaysian companies like Pos Malaysia, CelcomDigi and others.
